China began its historic journey of Reform and Opening-up
in 1978, and the Chinese people have added a glorious chapter to the
development epic of the country for the past four decades.

Hard power(硬实力)
Hard power is the use of military and economic strengths to
influence the behavior or interests of other political bodies. This form of
political power is often aggressive (coercion), and is most effective when
imposed by one political body upon another of lesser military and/or economic
power.

Soft power(软实力)
Soft power is the ability to obtain what you want through
co-option and attraction. It is in contradistinction to ‘hard power’, which is
the use of coercion and payment.
4. Smart power(巧实力)
Smart power, which is using force or giving money as a
means of persuasion, is the ability to attract and co-opt, rather than by
coercion (hard power), . Soft power is the ability to shape the preferences of
others through appeal and attraction.
