In recent years, mobile phones have been used
widely and intensively. Since they have been fast upgraded and extensively
produced, almost every one of all ages has one. Undoubtedly, the mobile phone
has become one of the most necessary appliances in our life.
As a high-tech invention, the mobile phone indeed
brings a revolution to our life. It’s small in size, light in weight and easy
to carry, offering fast and convenient service for communication. Smart phones
assist people communicating with others regardless of time and space
restrictions. What’s more, we can acquire abundant information and express our
personal opinions through different kinds of social networking softwares.
Nevertheless, despite these apparent advantages
mentioned above mobile
phone deeply influence our life in some
negative ways. Therefore a list of
potential harms are provided in the following. First of all, the overuse of mobile phone threatens our health, both
physical and psychological. It is easy for us to get addicted to smart phones. In
addition, lots of us depend too much on it so that we lose the capacity of independent
thinking. Most importantly, I do think the mobile phone disturbs our life with increasing procrastination and divided
attentions. Unlike the traditional telephone, when the mobile phone is
switched on, we would be exposed to in contact and disturb by various
kinds of people and
things. Limitless calls and messages make people extremely tired.
To sum up, the mobile phone is an advantageous
invention during the development of human society. Yet with the easier access and disturbance, it has dominated our life
with many visible harms, which should be recognized and greatly reduced for a better future.
